Job summary

Mars France, within the Royal Canin Healthy Pet Research Team, seeks an Early Life & Growth Research Senior Scientist to drive the Start of Life program for healthy and growing pets. You will advance microbiome, immunity and omics work to deliver portfolio-ready solutions across reproduction, neonatal and growth stages.

The role requires a DVM or PhD and 3+ years in corporate R&D, with strong English skills and a track record of bringing products to market.

Qualifications

• DVM or PhD with expertise in reproduction, paediatrics, nutrition, or veterinary science.
• Post Doc or 3+ years of corporate R&D experience is a plus.
• Experience delivering products to market is advantageous.
• Fluent English required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver solutions implementable in Royal Canin business.
• Create a research roadmap aligned with capabilities and science trends.
• Lead studies from ideation to publication and manage collaborations.
• Identify IP opportunities and engage internal customers.
• Coordinate with global R&D, product, and external partners to optimise impact.
