CBRE Investment Accounting & Reporting Solutions (CBRE IA&R) in Paris is seeking an experienced Lead Accountant to join our French team. The role covers asset-level accounting, data reconciliation, VAT filings, and monthly, quarterly and annual reports for real estate funds, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Applicants should hold a Master’s in accounting/finance and have at least four years in investment accounting, including Big 4 experience, with strong IFRS/PCG knowledge and fluency in French

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in accounting, finance or management control.
• At least 4 years’ experience in investment accounting, with a minimum of 2 years in a Big 4.
• Strong knowledge of French accounting standards (PCG) and French tax rules.
• IFRS knowledge for real estate and OPCI/SICAV is an advantage.
• Fluent in French and English; strong analytical and reporting skills.

Responsabilités

• Collecting and reconciling financial data across property assets.
• Preparing accounting schedules, files and reports for controller review.
• Verifying the accuracy of journal entries and ensuring consistency of documents.
• Maintaining and reconciling bank movements.
• Managing accounting cut-offs and resolving discrepancies.
• Preparing French VAT returns, tax packages and other French filings.
• Producing monthly, quarterly and annual reports (budgets, actuals, cash flow forecasts, financial statements).
• Gathering property-level data for quarterly investor reports.
• Supporting the audit process and liaising with auditors, legal and tax advisors.
• Contributing to ad hoc projects as the business grows.
