Hugging Face is seeking a versatile senior Python developer to join the Applications team. You’ll design, develop, and maintain core features across ML libraries, architect Python projects, and drive adoption of early-stage libraries among developers.

You’ll work on real-time streaming, frontend integration, and collaborating with open-source contributors, while shipping fast and shaping API surfaces for Gradio, Spaces, and related tools, with a globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 5+ years of professional Python development experience.
• Experience architecting complex Python projects or frameworks.
• Track record of taking libraries to broad adoption.
• Professional experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience with a modern frontend framework such as React or Svelte.
• Experience core-contributing to or maintaining open-source software projects.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain core features across the team's libraries, ensuring scalability, reliability, and ease of use for ML developers.
• Architect Python projects and frameworks that serve as foundational tools for the ML community.
• Grow early-stage libraries by defining API surfaces, demos, and documentation to drive developer adoption.
• Work on real-time streaming and networking capabilities as a core priority for Gradio 7 and beyond.
• Collaborate with open-source contributors and engage with the broader community through code reviews and discussions.
