Take the lead in delivering oncology clinical trials that contribute to the development of innovative therapies and improve patient outcomes. In this role, you will oversee Phase I–IV clinical studies across local, regional, and global settings, guiding projects from start‑up through closeout. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and ensure that studies meet quality, regulatory, budget, and timeline expectations. Combining strategic planning with hands‑on project leadership, you will navigate operational challenges and proactively manage risks. You will collaborate with stakeholders across international teams and time zones in a remote‑first environment. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clinical research while driving operational excellence and strong client partnerships.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead Phase I–IV clinical trials from study start‑up through closeout, ensuring successful delivery across all project phases.
  • Direct multidisciplinary and cross‑functional project teams, coordinating internal stakeholders, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Develop, maintain, and adapt project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and delivery strategies to meet study objectives.
  • Manage project budgets and financial performance, ensuring alignment with contractual commitments and business goals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while resolving complex operational challenges that could affect study delivery.
  • Promote collaboration, resolve conflicts, and support team effectiveness across global and multicultural working environments.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards, timelines, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, project execution, and overall service quality.
Requirements:

You are an experienced clinical research professional with a strong background in oncology project management, financial oversight, and cross‑functional leadership. You can balance competing priorities, navigate complex clinical development requirements, and build effective relationships with clients and international teams.

  • University or college degree, preferably in Life Sciences, or a qualification in a related allied health profession. Equivalent combinations of education and professional experience may also be considered.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the clinical pharmaceutical industry, including demonstrated oncology clinical project management experience, or significant healthcare supervisory and clinical research experience within pharmaceutical or contract research organization (CRO) environments.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary and cross‑functional project teams in clinical research settings.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, including timeline planning, quality management, cost control, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
  • Solid financial acumen, with experience developing, monitoring, and managing project budgets.
  • Thorough knowledge of ICH‑GCP guidelines and international regulatory requirements governing clinical development programs.
  • Experience using project management software and coordinating multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Fluency in the relevant local office language, as required.
  • Strong organizational, problem‑solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with international teams across multiple time zones.
Benefits:
  • Remote working opportunities for eligible candidates based in Europe.
  • The opportunity to contribute to oncology clinical trials and the development of therapies that can improve patients' lives.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary clinical research professionals across international teams.
  • Exposure to complex clinical development programs and opportunities to strengthen project leadership expertise.
  • A collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diverse perspectives and professional contributions.
  • Opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence across clinical research projects.
  • Domestic and international travel opportunities as required by project needs, including occasional overnight stays.
