The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in Paris seeks a Senior Programme Management Officer to advance sustainable materials management, circular economy and life cycle thinking, informing policy and business discourse on a sustainable future.

You will lead scientific studies, provide methodological guidance, manage knowledge and budgets, and ensure gender mainstreaming across initiatives while mobilizing resources for global partnerships.

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in natural resources science or environmental science.
• 10+ years providing science-based policy advice on sustainable consumption and production.
• International experience and budget/resource mobilization needed.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and review scientific studies for the International Resource Panel.
• Provide methodological guidance on life cycle approaches.
• Strengthen the science-policy interface on resource management.
• Oversee budget, funding, and staff development.
