Twelve seeks a skilled Global Compliance professional to drive product compliance across our worldwide teams, focusing on UK, EU and US markets. The role requires experience with luxury goods, multi-product coverage, and knowledge of testing, packaging, and labelling standards.

Hybrid work is offered with in-office days in Paris. Fluency in English and French is essential to collaborate with internal teams and international partners.

Qualifications

  • Experience with luxury global retailers and multi-product lines.
  • Extensive knowledge of US and EU testing and compliance requirements (REACH, Prop 65, labelling).
  • Understanding of EU legislation: EUDR, DPP, PPWR, ESPR.

Job Description

You will be responsible for supporting the VP of Global Compliance in driving product compliance across the global team, with particular focus on global legislation, specifically UK, EU and US. Experience with all of these markets is essential. Multi product experience required to cover hard goods, fashion accessories, home and gifting, packaging, electrical, food and beauty accessories. Luxury packaging is a particular focus, knowledge in this category, covering materials, printing techniques, construction, drop/transit testing is essential.

Role responsibilities
  • Close collaboration with Design/Development to ensure the smooth transition of product from design, into production and beyond. Fostering a "right first time" mentality across the business.
  • Taking ownership of technical compliance across global clients covering multi product for fast-moving influencer category.
  • Responsible for risk assessing product and packaging for compliance with global legislations, ensuring products are safe and fit for purpose.
  • Ensure that all products meet chemical, legal and performance standards, including education of our suppliers to promote responsible sourcing and product compliance.
  • Supporting the Design/Development and Production teams with testing and product compliance queries.
  • Client facing role - must be comfortable explaining technical, compliance and quality requirements to a variety of roles and levels within the brands we work with.
  • Supports VP, Global Compliance and Head of Quality with initiatives to achieve both the Compliance strategy and overall Business strategy i.e. developing new processes, creating manuals etc.
  • Create and present training materials designed to educate teams on Compliance topics i.e. product testing, product quality, labelling requirements, certifications
  • Driving supplier performance, ensuring top suppliers work towards our "right first time" approach. Applying special measures to persisting failures from factory.
  • Implementing procedures to ensure continued high quality standards.
  • Effective communication with global factory base and twelve’s global team.
Required
  • Experience of working with or for luxury global retailers.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of US and EU testing and compliance requirements. e.g., Reach, Prop 65, labelling requirements.
  • Good understanding of EU legislation surrounding EUDR, DPP, PPWR, ESPR
  • Strong technical expertise in multiple product areas.
  • Must have experience in visiting global factories and sound knowledge of manufacturing processes of a variety of product types.
  • Commercial decision making.
