Versigent is seeking a motivated Senior Product Engineer to lead the EDS product-line into adjacent markets, particularly Aerospace and Defense. This role combines deep engineering expertise with the agility of a startup, aimed at expanding Versigent’s portfolio into non-automotive sectors such as energy management and robotics.

The ideal candidate will have a significant industry background, a proven track record in the aerospace industry, and strong business development skills.

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a motivated Senior Product Engineer to lead, manage and develop the EDS (Electrical Distribution Systems) product-line into Adjacent Markets. The company Versigent is expanding its current portfolio electrical/electronics into the non-automotive sector. The realignment extends from the Aerospace and Defense Industries to Energy Management Systems as well as Robotics/Humanoid. If you are a well-founded industry expert with technical expertise in wiring and interconnection technology being able to transfer these skills to adjacent markets, then this is the role for you!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading, managing and developing the EDS Aerospace and Defense market according to business needs (advanced work to secure new projects)
• Ensuring further growth by analyzing the needs of the EDS organization and communicating with management, EDS Core and Execution teams
• Securing tools to implement research and development projects (in relation to Ae&D) according to current standards
• Exploring opportunities to improve collaboration with customers and other departmental EDS organizations to achieve synergy effects
• Leading the "Request For Quotation/Information", the advanced work and delivering the technical inputs on time and on quality
• Collaborating with suppliers and driving vertical integration
• Supporting the handover plan to the execution team and making sure that the project team is fully equipped to deliver the new programs successfully
• Investigating and, if necessary, establishing collaborations with external organizations (e.g. external service providers, universities)
• Preparing, controlling and reporting on the budget for the assigned organization
• Performing assigned tasks on time
• Creating products according to customer requirements and procedures
• Maintaining communication with external and internal customers
• Performing assigned tasks in accordance with EDS quality management system
• Reporting progress and support required to the Line and Dotted-line Manager

YOUR BACKGROUND

Understanding of Costumer Culture ideally in the Automotive Electrical Sector / Ae&D to bridge what we currently do at Versigent with aerospace expectations
Be capable of identifying how our current products, expertise, and capabilities can translate into value for the aerospace industry
Have proven experience in the aerospace industry, with an existing network
Be able to open doors and drive business development in this new market
Bring a dual skillset (technical + commercial) to effectively position our offer
Proven Strategy Development Skills
Self-motivated, target/result driven
Willingness to travel up to 50%

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent and 10+ years in the Electrical sector in a technical and commercial function
• Languages: fluent English (speaking and writing) and ideally good French (speaking and writing)
• Willingness to travel up to 50%
