Ed.ai in Paris seeks a Product & Brand Designer to scale our educational AI platform. You will own end-to-end product design from problem framing to production-ready UI, and craft illustrations that align with our brand system.
You will also design assets for landing pages, marketing content, and print materials, ensuring coherence across FR and US markets. This role blends product thinking with brand and illustration work in a fast-growing EdTech environment.
Ed.ai is an AI teaching assistant that transforms how teachers grade, track, remediate, and support their students day to day. Teachers snap a photo of handwritten student work, and Ed.ai handles the rest: our computer vision grades it instantly, maps each student's gaps, and generates personalized remediation activities — all in minutes, not hours.
Founded in France by the creator of LeLivreScolaire.fr (the 3rd-largest French textbook publisher, acquired by Hachette Livre), Ed.ai already serves thousands of teachers across 200+ schools in France and in the US, and we're scaling fast in both markets.
We’re looking for our second designer to help us build a product teachers use every day — from the core grading experience to the tools they use to understand student needs and prepare what comes next.
You'll join Ed.ai as our Product & Brand Designer, working hand-in-hand with Mathilde Serra, our Founding Designer. Mathilde built everything you see today — the product platform, our mascot Ed, our communication assets, our print materials, the whole visual system. You're not starting from a blank page: you're joining a designer who has already defined the craft, and your job is to help scale it across the product and every surface where Ed.ai appears.
This is a hands-on, end-to-end design role. You'll move from product thinking to pixel-perfect UI, and from UI into the illustration and communication work that makes Ed.ai feel like Ed.ai. The role spans three areas, in this order of importance:
Product (UX / UI)
Communication assets
Illustration
We need someone who builds end to end. Strong UX thinking is necessary but not sufficient: you must be able to take an idea all the way to polished, production-ready UI — including the illustration work that goes with our branding. Applications from candidates positioned purely as UX designers will not be reviewed.
Design the Ed.ai product experience end to end: from problem framing and user flows to high-fidelity, production-ready UI.
Partner closely with Product and Engineering to ship — turning teacher needs into interfaces that feel obvious to use.
Grow and maintain the design system Mathilde started, so the product stays consistent as it scales across two markets (FR + US).
Bring a high bar for UI craft: spacing, type, motion, the details that make software feel trustworthy to teachers.
Design the assets that carry the brand: landing and marketing pages, social content, decks, campaign visuals, and print materials.
Keep everything on-brand and coherent across FR and US, extending the system rather than reinventing it each time.
Work alongside the marketing and content team to turn messages into visuals that convert.
Produce illustrations that match the Ed.ai visual language — modern vector 2.5D, purple blue gradient DNA, glossy finish, our mascot Ed.
Extend the illustration library across product, marketing, and social, keeping it consistent with the brand Mathilde defined.
Use illustration as a real design tool inside the UI, not just decoration — onboarding moments, empty states, feature highlights.
€45K – €70K base salary, based on our public compensation grid (scope + seniority). No negotiation theater — everyone sees the same grid.
Stock options (BSPCE).
