Raytheon is seeking electrical engineers with knowledge of analog electronics, power electronics, power systems and servo/motor control systems. The ideal candidate possesses a combination of design, product and production support experience, electronics knowledge, and hands-on laboratory skills.

In this onsite role, you will design, analyze, simulate, test and document analog and power design products, and provide support to production, integration, and test activities.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of relevant experience or an advanced degree and minimum years of experience.
  • Design, test, and/or production experience with analog or power electronics, power systems, power conversion, power distribution, power sub-system design and/or control systems.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation using PSPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar computer-based tools

  • Work closely with a team of engineers to develop designs based on requirements, operational specifications, and guidelines.
  • Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document analog and power design products.
  • Provide support to production, integration, and test activities
  • Gain greater mastery of analog and power engineering design

  • Travel to various locations as required by assignment

Electrical EngineerRaytheon is seeking electrical engineers with knowledge of analog electronics, power electronics, power systems and servo/motor control systems. The ideal candidate possesses a combination of design, product and production support experience, electronics knowledge, and hands-on laboratory skills.

Raytheon analog and power design, product and production support engineering occurs in following areas:

  • Power System Design - Power System Noise, System Simulation and Modeling, Solid State Transmitters, Tube Transmitters, High Voltage Design, Power Sources, Generators
  • Power Conversion - AC/DC, DC/DC and DC/AC, Linear and Switching Supplies, Power Factor Correction (PFC), Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS), Resonant Circuits, Synchronization, Noise Controls
  • Power Distribution - Ground, Air, Shipboard, and Space, Power , Line Voltage, High Current, Low Voltage, Micro-Power, DC, AC, Multi-Phase Power Control, Fault Reporting, Isolation, Protection Circuits, Redundant Systems
  • Power Sub-System Design - Filters, Harmonic Control, EMI, Circuit Simulation, Magnetics, Protective Relay Systems, Short Circuit and Stress Analyses
  • Control Systems – Servo Control Systems, Motor/Power/Process Control, Digital Feedback Systems, Command , Inertial Stabilization, Navigation Algorithms

This is an onsite position at one of the following Massachusetts locations - Tewksbury, Andover, or Marlborough. Location assignments will be made based on business or program need.

What You Will Do
  • Work closely with a team of engineers to develop designs based on requirements, operational specifications, and Raytheon guidelines
  • Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document analog and power design products.
  • Provide support to production, integration, and test activities
  • Gain greater mastery of analog and power engineering design
  • Demonstrate self-motivation
  • Travel to Marlborough, MA; Tewksbury, MA; Andover, MA; Woburn, MA; and/or Pelham, NH may be required depending on the assignment.
Qualifications
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Design, test, and/or production experience with analog or power electronics, power systems, power conversion, power distribution, power sub-system design and/or control systems.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation using PSPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar computer-based tools
We Prefer
  • Experience with requirements development
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/manage small teams to achieve schedule, budget and technical commitments.
  • Experience generating technical documentation and reports
  • Knowledge of test and production methods for electronic components
  • Experience interfacing with procurement and manufacturing as well as external suppliers to ensure proper implementation of product designs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Hardware development experience in a Department of Defense environment
