Pratt & Whitney is seeking qualified technicians to operate, maintain and repair boiler systems and power plant utilities within the facilities. The role involves monitoring complex equipment, supporting plant operations, and performing scheduled maintenance to ensure reliability and safety.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, at least two years of trades training, and be eligible for U.S. export authorizations. OE-2 license is preferred.

Function

• Perform the facilities work necessary to operate, install, overhaul, maintain and repair a variety of equipment assigned to facilities services used to generate, transfer and supply energy and utilities for plant operations.
• Perform associated duties where interrelated systems require planning and performing varieties of work to resolve operating and distribution problems.
• 2nd Shift hours are Monday – Friday 3:00PM – 11:00PM

What You Will Do

• Under direction of Leader/Supervisor perform a variety of duties, as assigned, to operate, maintain, service and repair equipment, systems and control devices for providing heat, water cooling air and other utilities and to support plant operations.
• Under direction of leader/supervisor operate, maintain and repair powerhouse and auxiliary and distribution equipment and related system components.
• Monitor and control operation of complex boilers, compressors, and air machinery for use throughout the plant.
• Perform installation, overhaul and repair work and carryout preventive maintenance and service as required.
• Provide assistance to others in system operation, care and use for equipment and proper work practices and work in support of special project groups.
• Perform similar duties throughout the facility within the scope and skill level of this job description.
• Assist other trades working on joint projects where common skill crossover provides the opportunity for shared responsibilities and more effective use of available skills.
• May be required to train for, obtain and maintain other licenses, operator permits and certifications with the specialization.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Work experience with the operation of steam , cooling towers, gas compression, water treatment, auxiliary distribution systems and associated control system and components.
• 2 years trades training and boiler operation experience.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Qualifications

• Possess OE-2 license.
• Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of steam generating equipment, cooling towers, gas compression, water treatment, and auxiliary distribution systems.
• Knowledge of principles of combustion, maintenance and repair of boilers and safe operating procedures.
• Knowledge of jet/gas turbine operation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of compressed air equipment.
• Knowledge of Power Plant control systems and components (e.g. SCADA, DCS, HMIs, PLCs, Loop Controllers).
