Crossing Hurdles, a remote-first team, is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and distributed systems. The role emphasizes ownership of a production platform and deep knowledge of modern DevOps practices.

You will build reproducible, containerized environments with reference solutions and defective variants, define measurable requirements, and develop deterministic tests for integration, load, security, deployment, and recovery.

Qualifications

• Senior-level cloud infrastructure experience with ownership of a production platform.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, scalable APIs, queues, autoscaling and storage.
• Hands-on with IAM, private networking, least-privilege access, and service-to-service security.
• Experience with observability, SLOs, deployments, rollback strategies, and DR.
• Ability to write infrastructure automation or testing tools and debug containerized environments.

• Create realistic cloud infrastructure tasks for distributed systems and security.
• Build reproducible, containerized environments with reference solutions and defective variants.
• Define measurable requirements across configuration, topology, and runtime behavior.
• Develop deterministic integration, load, security, and recovery tests.
• Debug environments, document decisions, and review tasks from colleagues.
