Mission: Join us as a Senior Platform Engineer to build a reliable and scalable stack for customers and Qontoers to support growth.
Impact: As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will streamline and enhance our platform, enabling faster upgrades and reducing complexity to empower all tech teams.
Our SRE department is divided into two teams (15 engineers): Platform Reliability and Storage. You will join the Platform Reliability team.
Role: Senior Platform Engineer at Qonto
As a Senior Platform Engineer at Qonto, you will
- Work on large-scale infrastructure: up to 30k logs/sec ingestion, up to 15TB of cumulated memory in prod, 300 deployments per day.
- Build robust solutions: collaborate with backend, frontend & security engineers to design, deploy & maintain our microservice infrastructure.
- Improve velocity: reduce toil through automation and pragmatism.
- Maintain availability: participate in on-call rotation and post-incident reviews with backend engineers.
- Contribute to shine through the tech ecosystem: share knowledge via documentation, talks, and communication.
What stack you can expect
- Cloud provider: AWS and some GCP.
- Container technologies: Kubernetes (EKS & GKE), ArgoCD, Argo Rollouts, Karpenter.
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions.
- Monitoring: Prometheus & Thanos, traces with OpenTelemetry, on-call with OpsGenie, and logs with Elasticsearch & Loki.
- DB and messaging: AWS RDS PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, SQS, Redis, and Kafka.
- Programming language: Go.
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform.
What you can expect
- Develop microservices to reduce toil.
- Design robust solutions with scaling needs in mind.
- Autonomy in proposing solutions in a bottom-up approach using the Qonto way (lean methodologies).
- Work on modern stacks through GitOps and challenge the technical status quo.
- Collaborate with other teams on tech challenges, reviews, and problem-solving sessions.
- Reducing cost by pragmatic approaches and long-term thinking to lower cost per customer.
About your future manager

About You
- Experience: Experience with infrastructure tools and developing high-quality tools to reduce toil; production experience managing Kubernetes clusters and workloads.
- Programming: Proficiency in at least one programming language and a passion for building efficient, scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Problem solver: Pragmatic, solution-oriented, and willing to embrace failure to improve quality.
- Impact maker: Desire to build a product used by thousands of companies while maintaining reliability.
- Curiosity: Curious and open-minded with a willingness to learn.
- Team player: Good communication and collaboration within a team.

- Languages: Fluent in English. French is a plus.
