Job summary

OLEO Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to lead scheduling for EP or EPC projects in the gas treatment sector, with typical durations around 3 years and project budgets ranging from 50 to 500 million euros. You will establish baselines, manage workflows, and coordinate with disciplines to ensure realistic dates and dependencies.

The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of experience on large industrial EPC projects, expert knowledge of Primavera P6, and a solid understanding

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience on large industrial EPC projects.
• Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 (mandatory).
• Knowledge of P&ID reading and 3D model inputs.
• Experience in chemical/oil & gas/energy sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare baseline project schedules and progress measurement sheets using WBS.
• Present all activities from customer and stakeholders with clear links.
• Coordinate with disciplines to ensure proper dates, durations, and dependencies.
• Analyze critical path and work with PM to mitigate schedule risk.
• Update schedule and progress monthly with forecast.
• Support Project Manager in execution strategy decisions.
• Structure activities from start to project end and provide time‑deadline transparency.

Job description

We are currently looking for a Senior Planning Engineer to take over planning of EP or EPC projects for gas treatment units with average duration of 3 years and budget ranging 50-500M Euros.

The main tasks and duties are:

• Ability toprepare the baseline of a project schedule and progress measurement sheets: Usethe Work Breakdown Structure of the Group
  
• Ensure thatall the activities including those from the customer and other stakeholders arepresented
  
• Coordinatewith Disciplines to ensure proper dates, duration, links and weight
  
• Analyze thecritical path (or close to be critical paths) and work with PM to improve andmitigate schedule risk
  
• Coordinatewith project team and discipline team
  
• Work inclose relation with Project Engineer
  
• Participate to projects reviews andcoordination meetings of the project
  
• On amonthly basis, update the schedule and progress measurement sheets as peractual progress and realistic forecast
  
• Do theprogress analysis (late tasks and coming weeks/look-ahead tasks)
  
• Proposecorrective measures to improve the situation
  
• Assist inthe planning of project execution and in the control of the project to meet therequirements in terms of time deadlines, and progress.
  
• SupportProject Manager in the Project Execution Strategy decisions
  
• Structure allactivities from start of work to the end of project.
  
• Providetransparency regarding time deadlines and progress.
  

Profil

• 10 years of experience on large industrial EPC Projects
  
• Good knowledge of Primavera P6 (mandatory)
  
• Good knowledge of Engineering development (P&ID reading, 3D Model needed inputs, E&I cycles, etc…)
  
• Past Experience in chemical / Oil&Gas / Energy industry is expected
