Mercury in Paris is seeking a Senior Planner to lead the scheduling for a portfolio of large industrial projects from pre-construction to commissioning. You will develop and maintain schedules, update progress databases, and provide comprehensive progress reporting to internal stakeholders and clients.

Ideal candidates will have 5-10 years of planning experience on major plants, a relevant Engineering/Construction Management degree, strong planning software skills, and excellent organisational

Qualifications

• Relevant 3rd level degree in Engineering/ Construction Management
• 5-10 years experience as Project/Senior Planner on large plants/industrial projects
• Proven track record in planning large projects on an industrial scale
• Experience in datacentres would be an advantage
• Relevant planning software working knowledge
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills

Responsabilités

• Responsible for a project or portfolio of projects (regional / sectoral)
• Responsible for all aspects of planning, as defined by the Planning SOP
• Reporting to Planning Department
• Reporting to Business Unit / Project Management
• Developing and maintaining schedules for pre-construction / construction / commissioning
• Developing and maintaining progress databases
• Progress reporting
• Milestone projections, delay / float path analysis
• Earned Value Management systems
• Monitoring schedule performance and productivity
• Auditing progress on site
• Attending schedule meetings, liaising with client and subcontractors
• Preparation of tender schedules
• Preparation of histograms
• Leading planning meetings
• Supporting weekly workface planning systems
• Resource / cash loading of schedules
• Providing data for payment applications
• Completing contract review reports
• Responsibility for quality and accuracy of schedules and reports
• Making relevant parties aware of issues and advising on solutions
• Recording delay and disruption
• Assisting in the preparation of claims and providing data for contractual disputes
• Travelling to projects in order to carry out the above, if required
• Managing, training, coaching, supporting, developing, leading staff, if required
• Covering Planning Manager responsibilities when required
• Covering Project Planner responsibilities when required
• All other duties associated with role
