Job summary

Qualifications

• PTCB certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations where this role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy.
• Operates pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions; coaches technicians and cashiers.
• Delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Speaks with customers to resolve issues and ensure a positive experience.
• Maintains accurate records and participates in inventory and KPI reviews.
• Supports clinical services coordination with Walgreens clinics and external providers.
