Job summary

eu-LISA is seeking a Personnel Security Officer to support the Protective Security Sector in Strasbourg, France. You will manage personnel and industrial security for staff, contractors and suppliers with access to classified information.

The role requires a security-aware professional with 5+ years of relevant experience, EU SECRET clearance, and fluency in English and French. The position offers a dynamic EU-institutional environment and structured security governance.

Qualifications

• University degree in Security Studies or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in personnel/industrial/protective/security roles.
• Valid EU SECRET-level clearance or equivalent.
• Fluent in English and French (minimum B2 in both).
• Leadership/senior experience in government security is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage personnel security clearance processes for staff, secondees and contractors.
• Liaise with National Security Authorities on clearance actions (initiation, renewal, transfer, suspension, withdrawal).
• Review security cases and support vetting activities.
• Advise management and staff on personnel security requirements and obligations.
• Manage industrial security for contractors and suppliers with access to classified information.
• Support security provisions in procurement procedures and contracts; verify compliance.
• Conduct contractor security reviews and follow-up on corrective actions.
• Analyze security information and produce risk analyses, briefs and reports for management.
• Contribute to security investigations, incident reviews and insider threat monitoring.
• Participate in inspections/audits and help develop security policies/procedures.
• Maintain personnel and industrial security records per classification rules.
• Contribute to awareness activities and represent the Agency in security meetings.
