RED Global is seeking a Senior Penetration Test Engineer (Freelance) to join a highly secure environment for a 4-month engagement in Bucharest with hybrid onsite work (1 day/week).

The role requires hands-on testing across web, mobile, and desktop apps, aggressive vulnerability discovery, secure code reviews, and scripting/tool development. Excellent reporting and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Information Security and IT Security Services.
• Hands-on penetration testing and ethical hacking experience.
• Expertise in application security assessments.
• Experience testing web, mobile, and thick-client applications.
• Strong vulnerability assessment and exploitation skills.
• Secure code review experience.
• Scripting and security tool development capabilities.
• Excellent reporting and communication skills.
• Professional English language skills.

Responsabilités

• Conduct penetration testing and security assessments across web, mobile, and desktop applications.
• Identify, validate, and exploit security vulnerabilities.
• Perform ethical hacking and offensive security exercises.
• Execute secure code reviews and application security assessments.
• Develop scripts, tools, and utilities to support testing activities.
• Evaluate security controls and provide remediation recommendations.
• Produce detailed technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Support remediation efforts and validate security fixes.
• Collaborate with international teams while working independently in a confidential environment.
