Simera Sense seeks a Senior Optomechanical Engineer in Toulouse to lead the design, development, and integration of high-precision optomechanical systems for space applications. You will drive 3D CAD, tolerances, and test plans to ensure performance in challenging environments.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in mechanical/optomechanical engineering with 5–10 years of space-related experience, and excels in cross-functional teamwork, project leadership, and documentation.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in mechanical or optomechanical engineering.
• 5-10 years of experience in mechanical or optomechanical engineering, preferably in the space industry.
• Experience designing optomechanical systems, including mounts, lenses, mirrors, sensors, and prisms.
• Proficient in CAD software.
• Experience with environmental testing (thermal, vibration, shock).
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with optomechanical, optical, thermal, and structural engineers.
• Lead detailed design and 3D CAD modeling of optomechanical components.
• Assess manufacturability, performance, and reliability of designs.
• Oversee integration and establish test plans including environmental tests.
• Coordinate timelines, resources, and documentation for optomechanical activities.
• Implement QA procedures and conduct inspections/audits.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports.
