Qualifications

• Solid cloud networking experience with an infrastructure focus.
• Strong networking fundamentals and subnetting knowledge.
• Hands-on FortiGate and/or Check Point firewall experience.
• Experience with firewall rule lifecycles and security operations.
• Familiarity with Cisco ACI and F5 load balancers is a plus.
• Experience in large, regulated enterprise environments.
• Proficiency with ServiceNow and change-management processes.
• Good English communication skills; French helpful onsite in Strasbourg.

We are looking for an experienced Network & Security Engineer to support a large-scale infrastructure environment in Strasbourg. The role will focus on firewall, network security and cloud technologies, with responsibility for configuration, troubleshooting, change management and ongoing operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, configure and troubleshoot FortiGate firewalls.
• Set up, configure and troubleshoot Check Point firewalls.
• Support the configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco ACI environments.
• Set up, configure and troubleshoot F5 load balancers.
• Work with cloud networking technologies and related infrastructure.
• Manage firewall rules throughout their lifecycle, including implementation and changes.
• Follow established change management and IT service management processes, including ServiceNow.
• Troubleshoot network and security issues within a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Work closely with technical and operational teams to resolve incidents and implement changes.

Requirements

• Solid experience with cloud technologies, particularly from a networking/infrastructure perspective.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP subnetting, VLANs and basic network concepts.
• Strong hands-on experience with FortiGate and/or Check Point firewalls.
• Experience with firewall rule lifecycle management and network security operations.
• Experience using ServiceNow and working within formal change management processes.
• Experience with Cisco ACI or a good working knowledge of ACI.
• Experience with F5 load balancers would be advantageous.
• Experience working within a large-scale organisation, such as banking, military/defence or a major service provider.
• Good understanding of network security concepts and security GIS.
• Strong communication skills and good English.
• Experience across multiple firewall technologies, particularly FortiGate and Check Point.
• Experience with Cisco ACI, F5 and cloud networking.
• Previous experience in highly regulated or complex enterprise environments.
• French language skills would be advantageous for an onsite Strasbourg environment.
