Job summary

Voodoo, a leading global mobile games publisher, is seeking a dedicated Game Designer for Paper Party in Paper.io 2. You will craft new multiplayer modes and refine existing ones within the Paper universe, maintaining core mechanics, camera, and controls while pushing for fresh, engaging experiences.

The role offers hands-on prototyping, rapid iteration, and close collaboration with the Paper.io 2 team to ship compelling, replayable content for a global audience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mobile free-to-play games.
• Experience shipping player-facing content in mobile titles.
• Strong understanding of multiplayer and competitive gameplay.
• Pragmatic and iterative approach: prototype, test, cut and retry.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype new gameplay modes.
• Improve existing Paper Party modes.
• Define simple, readable rules for one-finger controls.
• Iterate quickly through testing, feedback and playtests.
• Balance accessibility, competition, pacing and replayability.
• Identify weak ideas early and cut or reshape them.
• Collaborate with Paper.io 2 team to turn concepts into playable experiences.
• Document your designs clearly.
• Fine-tune modes directly in Unity when possible.
