Job summary

Generare in Paris is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician to join the production team and drive daily workflows from soil-derived microbial samples to extracting valuable therapeutic compounds.

You will perform microbial isolation, DNA extraction, sequencing, and fermentation support, while documenting procedures and ensuring equipment readiness in a hands-on, growing deeptech environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of lab experience in biotech or microbiology.
• Hands-on experience with microbial workflows and DNA handling.
• Proficient in maintaining accurate documentation and lab hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbial isolation, DNA extraction, PCR, and sequencing (Nanopore).
• Support cloning library construction and host strain transformation.
• Carry out organic extraction of microbial cultures to isolate bioactive compounds.
• Prepare reagents, maintain equipment, and ensure readiness for daily workflows.
• Record protocols and results with high accuracy in lab software.
• Collaborate with Production to plan and execute workflows.
