Job summary

VAir, based near Paris on the École Polytechnique campus, seeks an experienced electronics/embedded engineer to turn biosensor blocks into a patient-ready handheld device. You will lead electronics design, integrate mechanical and fluidic subsystems, and work closely with the CTO to solve integration challenges.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in medtech electronics, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks/Fusion 360), and professional French and English. On-site with remote options, salary 50k–65k€ gross.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or higher in electronics or related field.
• 5+ years designing electronic products, ideally in medtech/biotech/diagnostics.
• Strong analog and digital electronics skills and signal processing.
• Solid foundations in mechanical/product design with CAD tools.
• Proven systems integration experience and hands-on mindset.
• Fluent in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Define the system architecture of the device and cartridge and integrate all modules.
• Design and evolve electronics: schematics, PCBs, component selection, power, signal acquisition.
• Contribute to industrial design and ergonomics for daily clinical use.
• Prototype, test, iterate, and build test benches.
• Support supplier and subcontractor selection and follow-up.
• Contribute to CE design documentation and risk analysis.
