Cardiawave, based in Levallois-Perret near Paris, seeks a Tech Lead for Embedded Software to steer architecture choices and drive software powering our cardiovascular medical device platform.

You will lead real-time, safety-critical embedded development, hardware/software integration, verification activities, and DevOps practices in a small, autonomous team focused on cutting-edge medtech solutions.

Qualificações

• Master’s (Bac+5) in Computer Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in embedded software design/development.
• Strong C/C++ (OO design) with real-time/bare-metal experience.
• Hardware-software integration and device drivers experience.
• Strong debugging/analytical/problem-solving skills and ability to read schematics/datasheets.
• Knowledge of robotics and functional safety principles.

Responsabilidades

• Define technology choices and oversee hardware/software integration.

• Write and maintain technical docs (specs, design, servicing instructions).

The Company

Based in Levallois-Perret, near Paris, Cardiawave is a medtech company pioneering a non-invasive ultrasound therapy for cardiovascular diseases; patented platform integrates therapeutic ultrasound, robotics, and ultrasound imaging; collaborations with HEGP and Physics for Medicine Paris. Cardiawave employs 25 people.

The Role

Serving as Tech Lead for Embedded Software, providing technical leadership, driving architectural and technology decisions, and contributing to the design and development of software powering Cardiawave’s medical device platform; requires extensive experience in safety-critical software, real-time systems, and hardware-software integration.

Responsibilities

• define technology choices and oversee selection of hardware components controlled/monitored by software
• prototype, design, specify, and develop real-time control and monitoring software
• contribute to software architecture and functional/technical requirements
• write and maintain technical documentation (functional specs, detailed design, manufacturing and servicing instructions)
• maintain and update existing software (improvements, bug fixes)
• implement and maintain CI/CD and DevOps tools/processes
• participate in reviews of software verification activities

Technical qualifications

• Master’s (Bac+5) in Computer Engineering or related
• 6+ years in embedded software design/development
• strong C/C++ (OO design)
