This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Java/Kotlin Developer in France.

As a Senior Java/Kotlin Developer, you will take full ownership of features across the development lifecycle, from initial conception to production deployment. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other engineers to design scalable solutions that align with user needs and business goals. Your work will impact core product functionality and contribute to a fast‑paced, high‑performing engineering environment. You will help shape technical decisions, mentor teammates, and elevate the quality of the codebase while embracing continuous integration, delivery, and monitoring practices. This role offers the opportunity to influence both product and engineering culture in a growing, dynamic organization.

Accountabilities
  • Lead the end‑to‑end development of features, ensuring high‑quality delivery from design to production.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Contribute to system architecture decisions, maintain clean code, and implement best practices.
  • Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and share knowledge across the team.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, observability, monitoring, and testing frameworks.
  • Proactively propose improvements to systems, workflows, and product functionality.
  • Balance speed and quality to deliver impactful solutions in a fast‑paced, iterative environment.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in software development, with prior experience in a product‑oriented company (SaaS, marketplace, fintech, etc.).
  • Strong expertise in Java and/or Kotlin, with experience in backend architecture, APIs, and data models.
  • Product‑minded approach: ability to understand the “why” behind features and contribute beyond coding.
  • Proficient with modern architecture, CI/CD, testing, and monitoring practices.
  • Ability to work autonomously, adapt methods to context, and own feature delivery end‑to‑end.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills for collaborative international teams.
  • Bonus: experience with frontend frameworks (TypeScript, Vue.js, Nuxt), cloud platforms (GCP, Kubernetes), and data tools (BigQuery, Spark, Python).
