Partner Company seeks a Senior Java Engineer in France to own features from architecture through production within a payments-focused platform. You will design secure, high‑performance systems processing transactions at scale and lead in a technical capacity with cross‑functional teams.

You will collaborate with Product, Architecture, DevOps, and other stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust solutions, while enhancing observability, security, and delivery practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience in production systems.
• Strong Java 21/25 and Spring Boot 4 / Spring Framework 7 background.
• Kafka and asynchronous processing with idempotency and exactly-once semantics.
• Relational databases PostgreSQL/MySQL with Hibernate/JPA.
• REST and OpenAPI API design expertise.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD tooling.
• JUnit 5, Mockito, and Testcontainers testing stack.
• Observability tooling: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Security concepts: OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, encryption, mutual TLS.
• AI coding assistants usage with human validation; strong code reviews and mentorship.
• Distributed international teams and high ownership mindset.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications with Spring Boot across full lifecycle.
• Lead technical design of major components, including service boundaries and data models.
• Collaborate with Product, Architects, DevOps to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Own reliability, performance, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Design integrations with external systems and third-party providers.
• Write clean, testable code and promote solid engineering practices.
• Improve CI/CD, testing, observability, and deployment processes.
• Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, act as escalation point for complex issues.
• Participate in production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, durable fixes.
• Drive technical innovation and stay current with payments tech trends.
