Abbeal SAS is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to design and implement the backend for regulated financial workflows in Paris. You will work with Java 21, Spring Boot 3.x, and daily AI coding agents to drive speed, consistency, and auditable processes in a banking environment.

You’ll build robust microservices, secure REST APIs, and scalable data pipelines while maintaining high standards for security, compliance, and observability in a hybrid Paris setup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Java in production
• Proficient with Spring Boot 3.x and modern Java features
• Experience with REST APIs, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA
• Familiar with observability tools and monitoring stacks
• Experience using AI coding agents (Claude Code / Codex)
• French + technical English; banking/insurance context is a plus

Responsabilités

• Design and deliver the backend layer for regulated financial workflows
• Develop Java 21 microservices with Spring Boot 3.x
• Implement robust REST APIs with proper security and transactions
• Build harnesses around AI agents and ensure auditability
• Ensure observability via OpenTelemetry, ELK/Loki, Prometheus and Grafana
• Deploy to Kubernetes and maintain production-grade systems
