Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in Paris is seeking a Senior Insurance Wording Expert to safeguard the quality and consistency of our insurance contracts for the French market. You will work with underwriters, legal professionals, and claims experts to ensure wordings are clear, compliant, and commercially fit for purpose.

You will guide underwriting practice, provide strategic language on contract matters, and monitor evolving market trends across large commercial risks.

Qualifications

• Native-level French language proficiency.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in underwriting, claims, insurance contracts, policy wording, legal, or related insurance functions.
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance principles and policy wordings.

Responsabilités

• Draft and develop French Swiss Re CorSo forms and ad hoc clauses and wordings with precision and accuracy.
• Review and analyze third party manuscript wordings to identify risks and breach of internal guidelines.
• Provide expert advice on policy wording and contractual matters to underwriters and other stakeholders.
• Partner with underwriting teams on complex transactions and wording negotiations.
• Conduct contract reviews and audits to support quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Monitor market developments to proactively ringfence contracts and identify emerging trends.
• Deliver training and awareness sessions to enhance stakeholder knowledge of policy wordings and contracts principles.
• Act as a recognised subject matter expert for policy wording matters within the French market, contributing to underwriting excellence and helping shape contractual market standards.
