Formación

• 5–10 years of offshore installation experience.
• Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience in offshore pipelay operations is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent technical report writing with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to organize workloads and coordinate engineering teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSE).
• Self-motivated with collaborative skills.
• Ability to work under project deadlines and changing priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a technical scope within project and tender teams, coordinating engineers and draftspersons.
• Lead the preparation, review and management of technical documentation for the assigned scope.
• Organize resource allocation, planning activities and priorities for the team.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Participate in conceptual and feasibility studies for offshore installation projects.
• Develop installation methodologies and procedures while acting as a senior discipline checker when required.
• Perform interdisciplinary reviews and ensure integration with structural, survey and pipeline design activities.
• Verify installation calculations, procedures and supporting analyses are technically compliant.
• Manage technical interfaces with subcontractors and internal project functions.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, standards and HSE requirements.
• Support offshore operations through site visits and offshore assignments.
• Contribute to training, mentoring and professional development of junior engineers.
• Participate in lessons learned and continuous improvement programs.
• Assess installation risks and propose innovative solutions to optimize project execution.

Join a dynamic offshore engineering environment, Abyss Energy, engineering consulting & recruitment firm, is seeking a Senior Installation & Project Consultant.

This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of a technical installation scope within complex offshore pipeline projects, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities and supporting critical project and operational phases. You will contribute to engineering excellence through technical leadership, risk assessment, stakeholder management and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibility

• Managing a technical scope within project and tender teams, coordinating associated engineers and draftspersons.
• Leading the preparation, review and management of technical documentation related to the assigned scope.
• Organizing resource allocation, planning activities and setting priorities for the team.
• Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Participating in conceptual and feasibility studies for offshore installation projects.
• Developing installation methodologies and procedures while acting as a senior discipline checker when required.
• Performing interdisciplinary reviews and ensuring effective integration with structural, survey and pipeline design activities.

Profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience in offshore installation engineering, pipeline projects or related offshore engineering activities.
• Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in offshore pipelay operations is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent technical report writing capabilities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to organize workloads, manage priorities and coordinate engineering teams.
• Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Demonstrated commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality principles.
• Self-motivated professional with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
