Job summary

Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with AI research labs. The HR Expert will lead talent strategies, workforce planning, and employee-relations initiatives on a contract basis, with remote work flexibility.

You will own talent programs, oversee compensation design, ensure employment law compliance across US and international standards, and develop rubrics distinguishing expert judgment from rote learning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years working as an HR leader or CHRO at a major company or HR consulting firm ( Mercer , Korn Ferry , or in-house VP/CHRO at a large company).
• Direct ownership of talent programs, employee relations matters, or compensation design.
• Fluency in HR tooling and methodologies, plus understanding of how employment law compliance actually works.

Responsibilities

• Construct HR scenarios across talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and compensation design.
• Develop tasks across recruiting, employee relations, compensation, HR compliance, and organizational development.
• Develop scenarios using HRIS (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors), ATS, and benchmarking tools (Radford, Mercer).
• Apply workforce planning, benchmarking, and employee relation investigations to US and international standards.
• Author rubrics to distinguish authentic HR judgment from rote recall.
