Astroscale France is seeking an experienced GNC Engineer to support our Toulouse office. You will design and validate GNC algorithms for Rendezvous and Proximity Operations, integrating software and hardware with flight dynamics and software teams.

You will contribute to simulation architecture, hardware trade‑offs, and system verification across the lifecycle, collaborating with cross‑disciplinary engineers to deliver mission‑critical GNC solutions.

Qualifications

• Diploma: bachelor or master’s degree in aerospace engineering or another relevant engineering/science discipline.
• Significant experience with Python and software tools for aerospace analysis and simulation.
• Experience with version control software like GIT and SVN.
• Strong experience in GNC algorithm design, modelling and testing.
• Knowledge of GNC rendezvous and optimization algorithms.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to GNC algorithm development – analyse, design, implement and validate RPO algorithms with cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Ensure configuration management and technical integrity of GNC algorithms throughout the lifecycle.
• Support the definition and evolution of the GNC software architecture, aligned with spacecraft and software system.
• Conduct state‑of‑the‑art research into GNC algorithm designs relevant to Astroscale’s missions.
• Contribute to development, maintenance, and validation of the GNC simulator architecture and models.
• Define simulation strategies and verification approaches to support milestones.
• Contribute to development of GNC hardware architecture and trade‑offs.
• Research technologies/sensors relevant to RPO and possible COTS options.
• Plan and execute GNC hardware trade‑offs and system integration tests.
• Plan and execute GNC verification campaigns including HIL and system-level testing.
• Support verification of embedded GNC software implementations across design, simulation and flight software.
• Deliver GNC algorithm, simulator and hardware solutions in line with project requirements.
