Contentsquare SAS, based in Paris, is seeking a seasoned General Accountant to join our finance team on a fixed-term contract covering parental leave. You will ensure IFRS and French GAAP compliance for the Group’s largest entity, Contentsquare SAS, and support the monthly and year-end closing processes.

Reporting to the RTR Director, you will handle GL operations, tax declarations, and financial reporting, collaborating with FP&A, Legal, HR, and Procurement, while driving process improvements

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of general accounting experience in firm and corporate environments.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS; US GAAP is a plus.
• Fluency in French and English; international environment.
• Excellent analytical and technical accounting skills.

Responsabilités

• Support day-to-day General Ledger operations (journal entries, reconciliations).
• Contribute to month/quarter/year-end close per IFRS and French GAAP.
• Prepare tax declarations and support audits.
• Maintain records of prepaid expenses, accruals, provisions, fixed assets.
• Support internal and external financial reporting.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, HR, Procurement, and other stakeholders.
• Assist with accounting policies and internal controls documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.

About the job

Reporting to the RTR Director based in Paris, you will be responsible for a range of General Accounting activities for Contentsquare SAS, the Group’s largest entity and headquarters, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and completeness of the financial statements in accordance with IFRS and French GAAP.

This is afixed-term contract starting ASAP, to cover a parental leave.

What you’ll do

• Support day‑to‑day General Ledger operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accounting adjustments.
• Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and year‑end closing activities in accordance with IFRS and French GAAP.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax declarations and support statutory audits.
• Maintain accurate records of prepaid expenses, accruals, provisions, and fixed assets.
• Contribute to the preparation of internal and external financial reporting.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with teams including FP&A, Legal, HR, Procurement, and other business stakeholders.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and ERP system enhancements.
• Support the implementation, maintenance, and documentation of accounting policies and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures and relevant local and international accounting standards.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in General Accounting, ideally gained across both an accounting firm and an in‑house/corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS is required; knowledge of US GAAP is a plus.
• Fluency in French and English, as you will work in a truly international environment.
• Strong analytical and technical accounting skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Highly organized, proactive, and reliable, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet strict reporting deadlines.
• Comfortable joining a team for a fixed‑term assignment and quickly becoming operational.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in the Tech / SaaS sector.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, including VBA.
• Experience working with Workday Financials.
• Previous experience in an international or multi‑entity organization.
