Contentsquare, a global leader in experience analytics, seeks an experienced General Accountant for a fixed-term role starting mid-January 2027 in Paris. You will manage GL operations, closing activities under IFRS and French GAAP, tax declarations, and reporting while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in General Accounting, IFRS expertise, and fluency in French and English, with an autonomous, organized approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in General Accounting, ideally across both an accounting firm and a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS; US GAAP is a plus.
• Fluency in French and English in a truly international environment.
• Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Analytical and technical accounting skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and own responsibilities.
• Highly organized, proactive, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict reporting deadlines.
• Willingness to join a fixed-term assignment and become operational quickly.

Responsabilités

• Support day-to-day General Ledger operations, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings per IFRS and French GAAP.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual tax declarations and support audits.
• Maintain records of prepaid expenses, accruals, provisions, and fixed assets.
• Assist in internal and external financial reporting.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, HR, Procurement, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to ERP improvements and policy documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and accounting standards.

About the job

Reporting to the RTR Director based in Paris, you will be responsible for a range of General Accounting activities for Contentsquare SAS, the Group's largest entity and headquarters, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and completeness of the financial statements in accordance with IFRS and French GAAP.

This is a fixed-term contract starting in mid-January 2027, to cover a parental leave.

What you’ll do

• Support day-to-day General Ledger operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accounting adjustments.
• Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities in accordance with IFRS and French GAAP.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax declarations and support statutory audits.
• Maintain accurate records of prepaid expenses, accruals, provisions, and fixed assets.
• Contribute to the preparation of internal and external financial reporting.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including FP&A, Legal, HR, Procurement, and other business stakeholders.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and ERP system enhancements.
• Support the implementation, maintenance, and documentation of accounting policies and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures and relevant local and international accounting standards.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in General Accounting, ideally gained across both an accounting firm and an in-house/corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS is required; knowledge of US GAAP is a plus.
• Fluency in French and English, as you will work in a truly international environment.
• Strong analytical and technical accounting skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Highly organized, proactive, and reliable, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet strict reporting deadlines.
• Comfortable joining a team for a fixed-term assignment and quickly becoming operational.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in the Tech / SaaS sector.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, including VBA.
• Experience working with Workday Financials.
• Previous experience in an international or multi-entity organization.
