Job summary

Alan is hiring a senior full-stack engineer to join the Shop crew in France. You’ll work on the end-to-end catalog, checkout and digital health experiences that help members get the right products quickly.

In a fast-moving, autonomous team, you’ll own features from design to deployment, collaborate with product, ops, legal and marketing, and navigate healthcare regulations while shipping real value to members.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building scalable software with full-stack experience across backend and frontend.
• Strong product mindset and ability to collaborate with members, ops, legal and marketing.
• Ownership from start to finish: frame problems, ship solutions, and monitor impact.
• Comfort with ambiguity and complex problems; shape scope, not wait for a spec.
• Clear communication in English; French is a plus for France market.
• Humility, curiosity, and a genuine interest in making healthcare accessible.

Responsibilities

• Build integrations with the e-commerce back office, in-house virtual try-on, suppliers and partner opticians.
• Ship member-facing flows: dynamic catalogs, purchase flows tailored to each member's coverage, prescription scanning, returns, and out-of-pocket purchases.
• Scale the catalog beyond optics with discovery and personalized navigation for thousands of products.
• Navigate e-commerce rules, invoicing, France's 100% Santé reform, and supplier compliance.
• Help products reach members in the Alan app, campaigns, and with Mo, the AI health assistant.
• Work with operations on orders, deliveries and customer service.
