Job summary

Doctolib is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer for the Doctolib Connect team in Amsterdam, Netherlands. You will build web features for our secure medical communication platform, collaborating with product, design, and business teams to deliver value for Europe’s largest medical network.

You will contribute across frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Java/Rails), participate in technical leadership, and ensure robust delivery with a focus on user-facing applications and cloud-based

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a fullstack software engineer on user-facing applications.
• Proven experience with React, TypeScript and backend technologies (Java, Rails).
• Experience running software on cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Build and own web features with React and TypeScript.
• Work on backend APIs with Java and Rails to support frontend features.
• Provide technical leadership and ownership of delivery plans.
• Collaborate with PMs and Designers, mentoring other engineers.
• Manage full development lifecycle including stakeholder communication and production issue debugging.

What you'll do

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join the Doctolib Connect team in Amsterdam, Netherlands. As a Fullstack Engineer, your mission will be to work on web features for our secure medical communication solutions that enable healthcare professionals to discuss and coordinate patient care with colleagues both within and beyond their organisational walls. You will be working in a feature team developing a product that powers Europe's largest medical network with over 1M healthcare professionals.

Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients. We work in feature teams in an agile environment, while collaborating with product, design, and business teams.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Frontend (React): building and owning web features, reviewing code and setting quality standards
• Backend and APIs (Java): API-focused work that supports the frontend and the features it owns
• Technical leadership and delivery ownership: estimates, delivery plans, breaking down projects, giving the team context, accountability for results
• Collaboration and team practices: working with the PM and Designer, supporting ways of working and processes, mentoring other engineers
• Managing the full development lifecycle, including stakeholder communication and production issue debugging

Who you are

Before you read on: if you don't have the exact profile described below, but you feel this job description matches your skill set.

• You have 5+ years experience working as fullstack software engineer on user facing applications
• You have experience with React, Typescript and one or more of our backend technologies (Java, Rails…)
• You have experience running software on cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS
• You have experience working with database technologies, preferably JPA, MySQL, MongoDB and Elasticsearch/Opensearch
• You enjoy figuring out why things work, not just that they work
• You're fluent in English
