Job summary

SkillCorner SAS is seeking a Senior Data Scientist in Paris to develop game-intelligence and performance metrics. You will lead modelling projects end-to-end, building ML/DL models and working with high-volume football data to deliver robust solutions for clubs and analysts.

You will collaborate across teams, own production pipelines, and communicate choices clearly to technical and non-technical audiences while contributing to the team’s direction and standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience applying data science, ML and DL to real-world problems.
• Strong Python skills for analysis, modelling and production-oriented development.
• Direct experience with football tracking and event data or similar high-volume datasets.
• Experience taking models from research into production, owning complete pipelines.
• Attention to detail; familiarity with cloud providers and production infra.
• Understanding of football and how technical work maps to questions.
• Ability to work with ambiguity, make defensible modelling choices and assess uncertainty.
• Excellent English communication; French would be an advantage.
• Collaborative, proactive and capable of leading projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead modelling projects end to end, from problem definition through deployment and improvement.
• Develop and improve ML/DL models for player evaluation and tactical analysis.
• Work with high-volume spatiotemporal data, addressing missing data, noise and bias.
• Navigate ambiguous problems, balancing research with pragmatic client needs.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, analysts, football specialists and clubs.
• Help shape the team’s technical direction and mentor colleagues.
