IXO is seeking senior finance practitioners for paid work evaluating AI model outputs and reasoning in a remote US-based engagement. The role requires extensive professional finance experience and practical model assessment, not just familiarity with AI tools.

You'll identify gaps in financial analyses, create challenging finance problems with full worked solutions, and score model responses using structured rubrics. Strong communication and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• At least eight years of dedicated finance experience at a leading organization or equivalent professional institution.
• Direct evaluation of AI or large-language-model outputs using rubrics or structured scoring criteria is mandatory.
• Progression from junior analytical work into senior practitioner or leadership duties.
• Strong written and spoken communication, problem‑solving ability and reliable collaboration with colleagues.

The opportunity

IXO is engaging senior finance practitioners in the United States for paid work on financial reasoning and AI evaluation. This role combines substantial professional finance experience with previous hands-on model assessment. General familiarity with AI tools alone does not meet the evaluation requirement.

Work and deliverables

• Identify gaps in an AI system’s financial analysis or decision‑making and explain their practical significance to research and engineering colleagues.
• Construct demanding finance problems drawn from realistic professional situations, then prepare complete reference answers with calculations and documented reasoning.
• Score model responses against structured criteria, distinguishing factual mistakes, weak judgment and unsupported reasoning rather than judging presentation alone.
• Write clear feedback that shows what failed and how a professionally defensible answer should differ.
• Develop and refine finance‑specific scoring guides, compare judgments with other specialists and resolve inconsistencies in how examples are evaluated.

Deliverables include task specifications, worked solutions, grading rubrics and written assessments. The aim is to make professional judgment observable and repeatable across reviewers while retaining the important uncertainty in the underlying problem.

Required background

• At least eight years of dedicated finance experience, such as investment banking, asset management, corporate finance or financial advisory, at a recognized leading organization or equivalent professional institution.
• Prior direct evaluation of AI or large‑language‑model outputs using rubrics or structured scoring criteria is mandatory. Describe that work and your actual evaluation responsibilities when applying.
• Demonstrable progression in responsibility, including movement from junior analytical work into senior practitioner or leadership duties.
• Strong written and spoken communication, problem‑solving ability and reliable collaboration with colleagues.

Engagement and pay

Remote US expert work pays $70 • $95/hr USD. A planning assumption is availability for at least 35 weekday hours each week; IXO will confirm the actual rate, schedule, scope and duration before work is accepted. Applying does not guarantee an assignment.
