Merck is seeking a seasoned Finance Controller for its Albi site to lead manufacturing financial controlling, budgeting, and standard costing. You will partner with site operations and regional finance to deliver accurate reporting and insightful cost analyses.

Responsibilities include variance analysis, intercompany transfer pricing, KPI dashboard development, and ensuring robust internal controls in a hybrid work setting.

Formación

• Education: Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or Management Control.
• Experience: 5 years' experience in operational or manufacturing financial controlling within an industrial environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, and industrial variance analysis.
• Demonstrated capability in financial modelling, data reconciliation, and dashboard development using ERP and BI tools.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of internal control frameworks and statutory accounting standards.
• Key Competencies: Strong analytical acumen with the ability to synthesize complex figures into clear insights.
• Collaborative communication style with cross-disciplinary partnering across operations.
• Commitment to safety, data integrity, and compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Manufacturing Reporting & Variance Analysis: Monitor plant operating results, prepare regular performance reports, analyse industrial variance accounts, and deliver commentary to site leaders and regional finance partners.
• Production Costing & Transfer Pricing: Lead annual standard costing exercises, maintain product cost templates, manage intercompany transfer pricing workflows, and partner with Cost of Sales teams.
• Business Partnering & Performance Dashboards: Design, maintain and enhance KPI dashboards; perform financial studies to uncover cost drivers and support continuous improvement.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Coordinate site budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning; present variances and drivers to operational teams.
• Internal Controls & Audit Readiness: Uphold internal control standards, work with external auditors and tax authorities, support compliance improvements, observe site safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Reporting & Variance Analysis: Monitor plant operating results, prepare regular performance reports, analyse industrial variance accounts, and deliver insightful commentary to site leaders and regional finance partners.
• Production Costing & Transfer Pricing: Lead annual standard costing exercises, maintain product cost templates, manage intercompany transfer pricing workflows, and partner closely with the Cost of Sales Integration and master data teams.
• Business Partnering & Performance Dashboards: Design, maintain, and enhance automated key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards; carry out targeted financial studies to uncover cost drivers and support operational continuous improvement.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Coordinate the site budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning cycles; present variances and performance drivers clearly to operational teams.
• Internal Controls & Audit Readiness: Uphold robust internal control standards, collaborate with external auditors and tax authorities, support continuous compliance improvements, and actively observe site health and safety standards.

Profile & Experience

• Education: Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or Management Control.
• Experience: 5 years' experience in operational or manufacturing financial controlling, within an industrial environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, and industrial variance analysis.
• Demonstrated capability in financial modelling, data reconciliation, and dashboard development using modern enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and business intelligence tools.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of internal control frameworks and statutory accounting standards.
• Key Competencies: Strong analytical acumen with the ability to synthesise complex figures into clear, actionable business insights.
• Constructive and collaborative communication style with a talent for partnering effectively across operational disciplines.
• Commitment to safety, data integrity, and compliance in an industrial setting.
• Language Skills: Full Professional fluency in French and English (written and spoken)
