A renowned couture house in Paris is seeking a talented Lead Designer to drive the creative vision for collections. You will collaborate with the Creative Director, supervise a design team, and ensure high standards of craftsmanship. The ideal candidate has over 15 years of haute couture design experience and exceptional skills in visualization and team leadership. Fluency in English is mandatory, with knowledge of French and Arabic as a plus.

Founded on a philosophy of precision and purity, the house brings together exceptional artisans, embroiderers, and tailors to create pieces that transcend fashion and reflect true artistry. Collaborate directly with the Creative Director on the creative direction of couture collections Design original pieces from concept to realization, including sketches, fabric selection, and detailing Oversee and mentor a team of illustrators, ensuring alignment with the design vision Work closely with the atelier, pattern makers, and embroidery team to ensure precision in execution Participate in fittings and provide creative and technical direction throughout development Ensure all designs reflect the studio’s DNA and couture-level standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner directly with the Creative Director to define and execute the creative vision of each collection.
• Lead the design process from initial concept sketches to final prototypes, ensuring innovation and excellence at every stage.
• Supervise, mentor, and inspire the design and illustration team, ensuring creative consistency across all projects.
• Collaborate closely with the atelier, pattern makers, and embroidery teams to ensure flawless craftsmanship and technical precision.
• Participate in fittings and oversee design adjustments, providing creative and technical direction throughout development.
• Ensure each creation reflects the couture identity and artistic codes of Ashi Studio.
• Contribute to the overall evolution of the studio’s aesthetic and collection storytelling.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in haute couture design, with proven experience leading full collection development.
• Strong creative and technical background, including design conception, fabric selection, and embroidery detailing.
• Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring a team of designers or illustrators.
• Exceptional drawing and visualization skills with a couture-level eye for proportion and construction.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on couture environment.
• Based in Paris and available to work full-time and in person.
• Fluent in English (mandatory); French and Arabic are a plus.
