Harmattan AI is seeking an experienced Embedded Electrical Engineer to join the R&D team. You will own compute module and board designs from architecture through bring-up and qualification, delivering boards that fly in mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities include board design of SoMs and test boards, high-speed digital design (PCIe, 10 Gb Ethernet, USB 3.x, MIPI), power trees, design reviews, manufacturing coordination, and testing with cross-functional teams to support flight

Qualifications

• MSc in electrical, computer, or related engineering field; PhD is a plus.
• Hands-on design and bring-up record matters more than the degree.
• 5+ years in embedded hardware design, with boards from spec to production.
• High-speed design including layout constraints and signal integrity.
• Power trees with verified power-up/down behaviour.
• Experience with fabrication/assembly partners on stack-up and cost trade-offs.

Responsabilités

• Board design of SoMs, baseboards, and test boards for compute platforms.
• High-speed digital design around PCIe, 10 Gb Ethernet, USB 3.x, and MIPI, with SI considerations.
• Power design including trees, sequencing, and power topology verification.
• Lead design reviews from block diagram to fabrication release.
• Coordinate with PCB/EMS partners on stack-up, vias, layout guidance, and cost trade-offs.
• Define verification plans and perform bring-up, thermal, vibration, EMC, and ESD testing.
• Collaborate with embedded software, mechanical, and validation teams for flight qualification.
