Boston Scientific is seeking a firmware engineer to design, develop and test embedded software for implantable and external neuromodulation devices. You will participate in architecture, specifications and test plans while collaborating with local and remote teams in a hybrid Costa Rica/France work model.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5+ years in firmware, strong C/C++ and scripting skills (PHP/Python), and familiarity with multiple MCU families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer, electrical or electronic engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of work experience in firmware development for microcontrollers.
• Professional experience with C/C++ programming languages.
• Scripting languages like PHP and/or Python are a must.
• Knowledge of firmware for 8/16/32-bit processors from multiple vendors is a plus.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with local and remote teams.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and test firmware for implantable neural stimulators, chargers and handheld remotes.
• Develop specifications, architecture, designs, schedules and test plans for product dev and upgrades.
• Apply standard design processes to support product development and productivity.
• Use technical standards and theories to address regulatory challenges.
• Provide solutions to moderately scoped technical problems under supervision.
• Follow procedures and interpret complex information to ensure quality and compliance.
• Contribute to milestones for specific projects.
