Job summary

Next Ventures is seeking a Senior Embedded C++ Software Engineer for a 6-month freelance engagement in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Clermont-Ferrand. The role blends hands-on C++ development with ASPICE and ISO 26262 activities, onsite with 1 day remote per week.

Requirements include strong C++ skills, Automotive SPICE, ISO 26262 experience, model-based development, and English (French preferred). Start ASAP with possible extension.

Qualifications

• Senior automotive embedded software engineer with strong C++ skills.
• Experience with Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262.
• Experience with model-based development, MATLAB/Simulink, MISRA, ALM tools, ADAS or SEooC is a plus.
• Professional English required; French strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transform algorithms and model-based designs into robust, testable C++ software.
• Contribute to software requirements, architecture, implementation, integration and verification.
• Strengthen ASPICE practices, including SWE.1-SWE.6, traceability, reviews and engineering evidence.
• Support software-level ISO 26262 activities and safety-related work products.
• Work closely with our customer engineering teams onsite in Clermont-Ferrand.
