Senior EHS Manager - Construction Safety Leader

Job summary

Exyte is seeking an EHS Manager to lead the Environment, Health and Safety performance on the GSK Low Carbon Ventolin project in Evreux. You will manage the on-site EHS team and ensure compliance with Exyte standards, GSK requirements and French regulations.

You will oversee RAMS, permits, and daily safety oversight, lead incident investigations, and drive continuous improvement in construction safety and contractor oversight. Daily presence on site is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Environment, Health & Safety or equivalent.
• 8+ years of construction-site EHS experience with leadership roles.
• Experience in complex industrial construction or pharma projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project EHS team and allocate tasks with clear coverage.
• Maintain Construction Safety Plan and Exyte EHS standards.
• Review RAMS, work permits, and daily SPA/LMRA before activities.
• Oversee high-risk activities: work at height, lifting, excavation, electrical, LOTO, scaffolding.
• Verify competencies and qualifications of contractor personnel before site entry.
• Plan audits, inspections, SBOs, site walks; track corrective actions.
• Lead incident management, investigations, root-cause analysis and actions.
• Monitor EHS KPIs and communicate trends from audits and incidents.
• Organize EHS communications, inductions, training, toolbox talks.
