Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited in Paris is seeking a Database Engineer with 8+ years of experience to maintain and optimize Oracle-based systems in a hybrid setup (3 days onsite).

You will administer Oracle/Exadata, PostgreSQL, SQL Server and MongoDB, handle backups and high availability, tune performance, and collaborate with security and infrastructure teams. Fluent English is required; French appreciated.

Qualifications

• Experience in database administration or engineering.
• Expertise with Oracle, Exadata and Goldengate.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB or equivalent.
• Strong SQL, performance tuning and monitoring.
• Backup, restore and high availability concepts.
• Troubleshoot production database issues.
• Database security and operational controls.
• Documentation and analytical skills.
• Strong English communication.

The Database Engineer provides technical expertise in database administration, performance, reliability and operational support. The role focuses on maintaining secure, stable and efficient database platforms in enterprise environments. Expertise on Oracle Database

• Experience with backup, restore and high availability concepts.
