Lengow is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the newly formed Data team in Nantes. You will shape data strategy, own data models, and drive data transformation across flagship products, collaborating with tech, product, and business teams.

You will mentor teammates, build internal insights tools, and ensure scalable data solutions that unlock business value for European e-commerce leaders. A remote-friendly setup with flexible hours is offered.

• 5+ years in data engineering or a similar role with a track record of delivering business impact.

Our Tech & Data Team

The Tech, Data, and Product team comprises 70+ people from diverse backgrounds, working in our offices in Nantes, Paris, and Barcelona.

Our products are developed thanks to six autonomous product teams, each working on a specific business domain. Each team is led by a Product Manager and Engineering Manager working with a dedicated small team of developers (4 to 8 people).

The Data team (3 members) is a key driver of innovation at Lengow. From enabling access to insights for employees to creating custom data products for clients, our mission is to transform raw data into business impact. You'll report to the Head of Data and work closely with our Tech, Product, and business teams as we expand our scope and shape the future of data at Lengow.

Empower business decisions with relevant insights and accessible data tools. Guide product development through data-driven features and insights. Manage and optimize custom data products for clients. Enhance our data stack and tools for scalability and performance. Cultivate a data-first culture by translating business needs into actionable insights.

Your Mission

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our newly formed team. With access to vast data-thousands of catalogs, millions of products, and billions of entries scraped from countless e-commerce websites-you'll play a pivotal role in unlocking its full potential and driving impactful value for European e-commerce leaders.

You'll work closely with technical and business stakeholders, taking ownership of impactful projects that drive business growth and shape our data strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Be an expert in our data models, tools, and 4 flagship products.
• Drive the technical evolution of our data transformation.
• Lead key technical projects in our data roadmap, such as product analytics initiatives, data model reviews and frameworks to managed data products for clients efficiently.
• Build internal insights tools for employees (dashboards, reports).
• Continuously document progress, solutions, and best practices.

Recruitment Process

Pre-interview: Chat with Alexandre, Head of People (30'). Team interview: Meet Sebastien (VP Data) and team members (60'). Final interview: Present a technical case to Sebastien and Olivier (Chief Product and Technology Officer) (60').

• Experience: 5+ years in data engineering or a similar role, with a track record of delivering business impact.
• Expertise: skilled in coding, data modeling and design, and aligning technical solutions with business goals.
• Collaboration: a natural mentor and communicator who fosters teamwork and inspires those around them.
• Mindset: a proactive, autonomous professional. Working in a small team can mean juggling with roles of Data Analyst, Data Engineer, BI Developer, etc.

Tools & tech:

• experience with SQL, BigQuery, Google Cloud, ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Talend, Apache NiFi), and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio).
