Job summary

Mistral is seeking a Senior Data Center Hardware Engineer (L4-L5) based in the Paris region. You will manage the most complex hardware interventions, including full-rack GPU-dense deployments and multi-node failures in production.

You will also own vendor escalations, drive root-cause analysis, and mentor junior staff while ensuring safety and auditable change processes. Join a hands-on, senior IC role with deep technical leadership across compute, storage, interconnect, and cooling.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data center / server hardware in production environments.
• End-to-end hardware expertise across CPU/memory, PCIe, NICs and power/cooling.
• Diagnostics depth with BMC/IPMI and Linux logs.
• Deployment experience from delivery to production racks.
• Vendor management including RMAs and escalations.
• Impeccable safety: ESD/LOTO/PPE and auditable work.
• Strong communication and ability to mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex interventions in production: full rack builds and GPU-dense deployments.
• Own vendor management and drive fixes to SLAs.
• Diagnose issues across compute, storage, interconnect and cooling.
• Deploy and validate new racks and platforms end-to-end.
• Mentor L1-L3 engineers and develop SOPs and training materials.
• Coordinate with facilities on power, cooling and monitoring.
