SAP is seeking a Senior Data and AI Engineer Technical Lead to design and build scalable data engineering frameworks and AI-ready data products. You will extend the framework to enable AI Agents to discover and consume Data Products at scale, and you will turbocharge Data Product Engineers with an AI assistant that accelerates development and operations.

You will work with the SAP Business AI Platform stack, integrated with Azure and Databricks partners, in an international agile team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python development.
• Proficiency with GitHub/GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient knowledge with Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog).
• Knowledge of Agentic AI and frameworks like LangGraph, MCP, A2A.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker in microservices.
• Strong English communication for international collaboration.

As a Senior Data & AI Engineer Technical Lead, you will:

• design and build the data engineering framework, reusable components and templates (eg CI/CD), and best practices that we need to boost productivity of hundreds of SAP Data Engineers building AI-ready Data Products.
• extend this data engineering framework to make it easy for AI Agents to discover and consume those Data Products at scale
• turbo charge the Data Product Engineers experience by providing powerful AI-assistant for accelerating Data Product development and operations

You will work on cutting-edge technology stack based of SAP Business AI Platform, extended with Microsoft Azure and Databricks strategic partners technologies

You will work in an international agile team, collaborating closely with product owner and users to shape the desired features, and you will provide actionable solution design and guideline, and deliver incrementally our frameworks and services with your agile team peers.

What you bring

• Successful Data Engineering track record and experience in building Data Product with enterprise quality, preferably in Lakehouse architecture
• Proficiency in Python development
• Proficiency in version control systems (e.g. GitHub) and CI/CD frameworks (e.g. Github Actions), and ability to setup robust pipelines at scale
• Proficient knowledge with Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog) or equivalent technology
• Proficient knowledge in Agentic AI, and know-how knowledge of framework like LangGraph, MCP, A2A
• Proficient knowledge with industry standard microservices (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Proficient English communication skills (written and spoken), required for collaboration with international teams
• Ability to provide actionable technical guidance and to implement engineering excellence practices among agile team peers
