Saxo Bank France seeks a Senior Compliance Officer to join the Compliance function in Paris. You will partner with the Head of Compliance France and collaborate with the Head of Compliance Europe in Copenhagen to ensure robust regulatory oversight across investment services, AML, and MiFID II.

You will advise senior management, lead regulatory interactions, and drive governance improvements while navigating complex regulatory environments with a pragmatic, risk-based approach.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in compliance within banking, investment services, or fintech.
• Strong knowledge of French and EU regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to advise, influence, and challenge senior stakeholders while balancing regulatory requirements with commercial objectives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; proficient in French and English.

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Officer to join the Compliance function of Saxo Bank France. You will work in a team of three, including the Head of Compliance France, partnering closely with local management and the Head of Compliance Europe in Copenhagen.

As a senior compliance professional, you will act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing independent oversight across investment services, AML, MiFID II, client protection, and broader regulatory matters. You will help strengthen the bank’s compliance culture, challenge decision-making where appropriate, and support the business in managing regulatory and conduct risk.

The role requires strong regulatory expertise, sound judgement, and the ability to navigate complex issues with confidence. You will engage regularly with senior stakeholders, regulators, and colleagues across the organisation, including AMF and ACPR, while collaborating closely with front office, operations, legal, risk, and global compliance teams.

Responsibilities

As our new Senior Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing Saxo Bank France’s compliance framework in line with French and European regulations and Saxo Group standards.

Further, you will:

• Advise senior management and business stakeholders on regulatory matters, including new products, business initiatives, marketing materials, and client documentation, while acting as the escalation point for high-risk cases and FIU notifications.
• Lead interactions with regulators and ensure the timely, accurate, and high-quality reporting of compliance-related information.
• Conduct compliance reviews, investigations, and thematic assessments, presenting findings, recommendations, and risk-based advice to senior management.
• Monitor regulatory developments and drive the implementation of necessary changes across policies, controls, processes, and governance frameworks.
• Assess the effectiveness of compliance controls and identify opportunities to strengthen risk management and regulatory compliance across the organisation.

Your Profile

• 7+ years of experience in compliance within banking, investment services, or fintech, with strong knowledge of French and EU regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to advise, influence, and challenge senior stakeholders while balancing regulatory requirements with commercial objectives.
• Strong analytical, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills, combined with a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex regulatory topics clearly.
• Full professional proficiency in French and English.
