Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government is seeking a Staff Engineer to oversee capital improvement, drainage, flood control, roadway, and infrastructure projects from planning to construction.

The role requires coordinating with departments, consultants, contractors, and the public, reviewing plans for compliance, maintaining records, and supporting emergency operations during events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer licensure preferred; otherwise 6+ years of related experience considered.

Responsabilités

• Manage capital improvement projects from planning through construction.
• Prepare, review, and assist in development of plans, specs, contracts, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate drainage activities and monitor compliance with regulations.
• Review invoices and maintain project budgets, schedules, and records.
• Communicate with consulting engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Support GIS data maintenance and project documentation.
• Attend meetings, provide technical recommendations, and prepare reports.
