Responsibilities

• Design: Create detailed drawings and plans for infrastructure and buildings
• Project management: Ensure projects meet goals and budgets, and that the design and construction concepts are followed
• Collaboration: Work with other engineers, and coordinate with other departments and agencies
• Compliance: Ensure plans meet industry codes, local codes, and federal regulations
• Research: Study maps and other resources to determine the best design approach
• Supervision: Manage an on-site team and provide administrative direction
