Hager Group is seeking a Senior Category Manager for Software & Digital Applications to shape the global software procurement strategy and governance. You will drive licensing, cloud and AI-related terms, working across IT, procurement, and engineering teams to maximize value and compliance.

The role spans Obernai (France) or Blieskastel (Germany) with a focus on strategic, non-transactional sourcing and long-term partnerships. Strong leadership and international collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Purchasing
• Mastery of complex contractual structures (software licensing, SaaS, cloud, AI-related clauses, IP, data protection)
• Solid understanding of SaaS, cloud-native architectures, IoT platforms, APIs, embedded software, and AI-enabled solutions
• Ability to bridge legal, commercial, and technical dimensions

Responsabilités

• Own the Global Software Category Strategy
• Develop and execute a 3–5 year global category roadmap aligned with digital and business strategy
• Lead end-to-end contractual structuring: licensing models, SaaS/subscription frameworks, cloud agreements, AI usage clauses, data ownership, IP rights, cybersecurity, and exit strategies
• Ensure full compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations
• Translate technical architectures into robust commercial and contractual frameworks
